Idyllica (Syndrome)
Hypothesis

Too much nature can be deadly. Auto immunity, delirium and coma are symptoms of the condition of over exposure to beauty. Human activity on earth is described by an impulse and belief in the necessity and desirability of progress linked to technology and medicine but we are increasingly allergic to our environment - it makes us sick. Now things are getting critical. We are perhaps already past the apex of survivability on earth, over-sensitised. We define the syndrome Idyllica. We research and document and create solutions.

The historical precedent is Stendhal.
The future is a fiction, a museum of prophecy.

Waking in the midst of a cloud inversion to find a too perfect new landscape being painted by sunlight, pixel by pixel, the artists observed in the form of a series of constructions and interventions (strategically positioned to assist road users and tourists), a network of reality generators.

To avoid being overcome by the heavenly perfection of the rendering it was at times necessary to look away or take shelter.
